Ready For The Party!

Off to Old Greenwich for my brother Andrew's pre-wedding party. It's a gorgeous day. See ya later, Manhattan!

The dress is from the Venus catalog. For serious. They have some great stuff.

It's Erin's 28th Birthday!

Erin et moi

It's time get back to basics on this blog -- party photos! Tonight Erin feted her 28th year of birth, and even me, the pregnant lady, felt compelled to go down to The Dove on Thompson Street and hand over a birthday offering: A Dunkin Donuts gift card! Little known fact: Erin is one of only a handful of my friends who openly appreciates a good bout of junk food. It's perfectly acceptable to suggest a snack at McDonald's with her. She also hearts Dunkin Donuts as much as I do. Lately I've been on a hot chocolate kick. What's your D&D poison?

Super cute Ilana and Erin

And Caroline!

While uploading these shots I realized I had a whole set from Erin's birthday two years ago at Happy Ending. You'll notice three things in these shots: 1) I'm pale. February is not my favorite month for birthdays or for being photographed. 2) I'm wearing the same Baccarat necklace at both gatherings. I need more Baccarat in my life. Can a gal ever have too much? 3) We don't age. We moisturize!

Erin liked the card I got her.

See? Pale! February, I shake my fist at you!

Oh yes. Someone gave Erin Jenga for her birthday.

It's The Weekend Round Up!

It was a busy weekend, folks. Let's re-cap it up!

First off: Friday. It was my last day at E&P, and so my co-workers and I marked my entrance into (temporary) unemployment with booze and cupcakes.

I picked them out myself.

Joe and Jen worked together at a little paper in California back in the 1990s. See, I'm a uniter, not a divider.

Hotties!

I couldn't stay out late beause Saturday was chock full of activity. My first stop, at 8:30 a.m., was at the New York Junior League's Playground Improvement Project in the West Village.

Jenny touches up the smaller parts.

After a morning and afternoon of painting and scraping, I hustled up to Murray Hill so I could take over TR's kitchen and bake some cookies. My choco chip cookies (from scratch!) are amazing. If you let me come over I'll bake some for you, too.

On Sunday I hustled out to Connecticut for a family party. My cousin Milton turned 55. When the Millards throw a party two things are guaranteed: There will be a lot of people and there will be a band. Let's meet some of the members:

Birthday Fella, Milton, on the accoustic guitar.

My brother Andrew, on the electric guitar.

Cousin Chris on the drums.

Uncle Frank, on the banjo.

La Madre, Groupie

There was high stakes musical chairs.

Winner!

Serious cake.

Friday Night At A Junior League Party

Early evening champagne

It poured on Friday night but that didn't stop me from trekking uptown to a really good party at The Junior League.

I had no idea who would be there that I would know, since there are 3,000 Junior League members. Luckily, plenty of people from my provisional group were there, like Catherine.

Nothing makes a party like a chocolate fountain.

Who were those masked men?

Dave's Summer Party!

Dave!

Last night the ladies and I headed out to Hoboken for a party. Yes, Hoboken. No, I'm not losing my touch. Hoboken is a great place for a good time. And any time Dave throws a party I am there, toute suite.

Some of these photos are a little grainy. Methinks my battery might be dying.
