Obviously I live in Manhattan -- right in the middle in Murray Hill -- and this week I've seen lots of people on Citi Bikes. And none of them were wearing helmets. I thought I was a being a wet blanket every time I saw these bikers and wanted to point them in the direction of the nearest K Mart. Wear a helmet! This entire town is made of concrete!
Then The Daily Show did this segment and I realized that I am not alone in worrying about safety first. What kind of a person gets on a bike in New York City without wearing a helmet? Someone with a death wish.
