The Elusive Creative Genius


The creative process can be a rough one, regardless of whether you're writing, painting or mucking around with code. It's painful and the tiniest distraction can send you down a rabbit hole of unproductive. (I'm looking at you, Pinterest.)

This is an old TED Talk that Elizabeth Gilbert gave back in 2009. She wrote Eat, Pray, Love and started to wonder what her career and life would be like after such a monstrous success. Her insights about how to deal when the creative muse strikes is fantastic. If you are embarking on any kind of creative endeavor, this is the best 18 minutes you can watch.
