End Of An Era...Lascoff's Pharmacy

Untitled

I haven't spent much time on the Upper East Side this summer, but yesterday while en route to the Junior League I noticed that Lascoff's pharmacy on Lexington and 82nd Street closed. It had been on that corner since 1899 -- 113 years! It was Salvatore Dali's go to place for medicinal leeches.

I'm sure an impressive branch of Chase bank will take its spot.
