East 94th Street, 1800s Style

My first apartment was on the corner of East 94th Street and Second Avenue. I always liked the neighborhood, even though it's in the upper echelons of the Upper East Side and it took forever to get downtown, or even just to Midtown.

This weekend I found these two photos on Pinterest of the East 94th Street area from the mid 1800s.
