The Same Books I Always Seem to Reccomend
Given that I am, by profession, a writer, people always ask me for book ideas. I think choosing books is a personal decision, varying by mood and intelligence and personal history. Who am I to tell you what to read? This isn't eighth grade and I would prefer to not force feed a book list.
But if you insist, here are a few:
If you want to know the history behind your 1.5 carat Princess cut diamond engagement ring and why the De Beers comapny is a cartel, read:
The Heartless Stone by Tom Zoellner
Yes, you were a lush in a college. Koren Zailkas explains why.
Smashed: Memoir of a Drunken Girlhood.
Your job is not as cool as Rolling Stone writer Jancee Dunn's. Sorry.
Enough About Me:
If you like good fiction mixed with explicit sex (and Brooklyn!), by all means pick up My Old Man by Amy Sohn.
It just doesn't get old: The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown
Never trust the government: The One Percent Doctrine by Ron Suskind.
