Despite what others may think, watching a house, three dogs and a cat is harder than it seems. For starters, these creatures control my day. I have to be out of bed by nine in the morning to feed them and let them out. Then no matter where I go during the day, be it to a relative's house to swim in the Long Island Sound or just to the dining room table to work, they have to be fed again by 5:00 PM. They're like little kids.
Today as I was on the phone working on some large scale projects the golden retriever and the lab mix dog wouldn't stop barking. I've got these assorted experts on the horn and Buster and Remy felt it was a great time to fight over an old tennis ball. They didn't want to go out because it was so hot nor did they want to shut up. It was maddening.
Anyhoo, work was actually completed today despite my lack internet at the house (Hello, Kinkos!). I also finally found some Red Bull at the Stop and Shop and stocked up. So all is right in the world.
This week-end is the SoNo Arts Festival, which should bring all the old skool Norwalkers out of their holes. It's also Jennifah's birthday, which will yield some photos, fo sho. Stay tuned, as always.
